I found some old bitcoin on my Circle.com account. When I try to send it says Bitcoin address incorrect...?
Can someone help me here. I have Electrum and when I copy paste my address it says "Bitcoin Address is incorrect" Can someone help me here? EDIT: Sorry, I am not super active in the BTC scene anymore. It turns out it requires a legacy address.
Another ABC dev supports the dev tax proposal on BCH, and has his ideas on how donation addresses can be "whitelisted" by miners: https://old.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/f1h55l/my_view_on_bitcoin_cash_development_funding/ I am sure these incentives are sound and nothing bad will happen. /s
I used an old receiving address to send my bitcoin. Now what?
So I just purchased some bitcoin from coinmama and accidentally sent them to an address on my electrum wallet I used about 3 weeks ago. Now my transaction is stuck in "processing". Are my bitcoins forever gone? In coinmamas support page it says that if you use an incorrect address the coins cannot be retrieved. So now what do I do or is there nothing i can do? I appreciate any help. Thanks.
How to use Byteball giveaway feature if you have multiple Bitcoin wallets?
Byteball chat bot just fixates on one wallet and address use signed and then does not allow you adding new. If I add a new address in Byteball wallet client it will still remember my old Bitcoin address which I tied to my client. What if I have several Bitcoin addresses I want to tie with client wallets to claim airdrop?
How to retrieve Bitcoin Address / how to mine on it again?
Hello All, My mining rig's HDD crashed and Windows is now corrupt on it. While I was able to retrieve my wallet just fine, I had a some mBTC (not sure how many, 1 or 2) on NiceHash miner which were not paid out. Per their policies, they don't pay out anything under 0.01BTC (which is 10 mBTC). Now, I might be able to get my old Bitcoin Address and worker name, as I still have the HDD and via Linux Live CD I can access those files. I am not sure where NiceHash stores that info, or if it is even retrievable. How do I go about retrieving that info (since I have the HDD but cannot run windows on it and cannot run any windows with that HDD plugged in because it will not operate it)? Say I find my Worker Name and Bitcoin Address, how do I go about telling my wallet to use that address? Or is there a way to tell NiceHash to apply the balance of the old address to the new one? Thank you all for the attention!
I tried to create a new Electrum on my Windows 7 using an old address from my old Electrum. I went to create default wallet > Import Bitcoin addresses or private keys Then i typed an address. But i could type the Next button. How do i proceed?

Whit Electron Cash I am sweeping my old Bitcoin addresses to get the BTH en dump them for BTC. Now for one's; I did sweep a private key and did make de address where it was supposed to send to - the old address from where i was sweeping it. The mempool seems to see it but Electron doesn't. Did I lose my coins I would claim or will the mempool eventually reject the transaction and will this situation "reset"??

My hard disk crashed. I managed to copy the bitcoin folder to my new hard disk. When I opened the bitcoin wallet my address has changed and there is no bitcoins on my wallet. I have my old wallet address and password. How can I get that back. Please help me. I am not an expert in this subject.
Found my first bitcoin address from 2011. Now what?
After hearing the more online merchants are accepting Bitcoin, I started trying to learn more about it yesterday. I remembered that in 2011, I actually tried mining and I eventually got .05 BTC. I emailed myself my bitcoin address back then. Now here is what I don't understand. If I were to attempt to get the BTC from my old bitcoin address into my wallet on blockchain or my wallet on coinbase, what would I need? Would I need a private key, a password -- both? This isn't a huge deal and if I can't get the coins it isn't an issue at all, but I'm confused -- and I don't like that. :) UPDATE: Thank you all for your help. I found the wallet.dat file and have it loaded in Bitcoin-QT. The wallet did contain the 0.05 BTC. I'll now install Armory and use that as my wallet and utilize the paper wallet feature and stick that puppy in my safe. :)
